The animal that doesn’t breathe – Report By Norvergence

The experts at Norvergence recently read research about the first-ever animal that does not breathe. As quoted in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the blob is known as Henneguya Salminicola.

The parasitic animal lacks the DNA that is responsible for respiration in animals. The evolution of the parasite has been linked to that of a free-living jelly-fish.

The parasite uses anaerobic respiration and is categorized under the same category as corals, jellyfish, and sea anemones. The experts at Norvergence say that the organism is completely harmless.
